Bromo BAT8E Tahoma Mini Jumbo Acoustic-Electric Bass

The Bromo BAT8E combines a compact mini jumbo body with quality tonewoods, refined appointments and Fishman electronics. Part of Bromo’s Tahoma Series, this acoustic-electric bass features a comfortable 24-inch (610 mm) scale length and is designed for both acoustic playing and amplified performance.

Solid Spruce Top and Mahogany Body

The BAT8E features a solid spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides, providing a quality tonewood foundation for its acoustic bass voice.

An Amara ebony rope soundhole rosette provides an elegant visual accent, while the Natural Satin finish showcases the character of the instrument’s materials.

Premium Five-Piece Reinforced Neck

A standout feature of the BAT8E is its premium five-piece head-through-heel mahogany neck. Two Amara ebony reinforcement strips run through the neck construction to increase stability.

A two-way truss rod provides additional adjustment for maintaining optimal neck relief and playability.

Amara Ebony Fingerboard

The Amara ebony fingerboard is fitted with 20 jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl dot inlays, combining premium styling with a practical playing surface.

The 24-inch scale length gives the BAT8E a compact feel compared with a conventional long-scale electric bass.

Detailed Amara Ebony Appointments

Amara ebony is used throughout the BAT8E’s design. The headstock features an Amara ebony veneer with an inlaid maple Bromo logo, while the neck heel end is finished with an Amara ebony veneer and maple inlay.

The instrument also features an Amara ebony rope soundhole rosette and Amara ebony bridge, creating a consistent visual theme throughout the design.

Genuine Bone Nut and Saddle

The BAT8E is equipped with a genuine bone nut and saddle, complementing its quality tonewood construction. Black Bromo diecast machine heads complete the hardware package and coordinate with the instrument’s understated Natural Satin appearance.

Fishman Sonitone Pickup System

For amplified performance, the BAT8E features a Fishman Sonitone pickup system with a piezo under-saddle pickup.

The discreet soundhole-mounted preamp provides convenient volume and tone controls, allowing essential adjustments without placing a large control panel in the side of the instrument. The electronics are powered by a 9-volt battery.
