Takamine TGLD12ENS Short Scale Acoustic-Electric Guitar

The Takamine TGLD12ENS combines the familiar projection and feel of a dreadnought acoustic guitar with a shorter 630mm scale length, providing lower string tension and comfortable playability.

With a spruce top, okoume back and sides, slim mahogany neck and Takamine TP-3G electronics, it is designed to transition easily from home practice and lessons to amplified performance.

Short 630mm Scale Length

The TGLD12ENS features a 630mm scale length, resulting in lower string tension compared with longer-scale acoustic guitars.

This provides a softer playing feel that can make fretting and chord work easier, particularly for beginners and players who prefer a more relaxed response.

The shorter scale also contributes to the instrument’s warm tonal character.

Spruce Top

A spruce top provides clarity and articulation, complementing the tonal character of the back and sides.

The dreadnought body shape provides a bold acoustic voice suited to strumming, accompaniment and a broad range of playing styles.

Okoume Back and Sides

The spruce soundboard is paired with okoume back and sides, contributing warmth and percussive richness to the instrument’s overall sound.

Slim Mahogany Neck

A slim mahogany neck with a satin finish provides a smooth, comfortable playing feel, making it easy to move between chords and individual notes.

Combined with the reduced string tension of the 630mm scale, the neck design makes the TGLD12ENS particularly approachable for developing players.

Jatoba Fingerboard

The guitar features a jatoba fingerboard with a 12-inch radius, providing a comfortable surface for both chord-based playing and melodic techniques.

Takamine TP-3G Electronics

For amplified performance, the TGLD12ENS is equipped with Takamine TP-3G electronics, allowing the guitar to connect directly to compatible acoustic amplifiers, PA systems and other audio equipment.

3-Band EQ

The onboard preamp provides a 3-band EQ, allowing players to adjust the amplified tonal balance to suit different performance environments and amplification systems.

Built-In Chromatic Tuner

An integrated chromatic tuner provides convenient tuning directly from the guitar, reducing the need for a separate tuner during practice, rehearsal and live performance.
