Yamaha YDP-105 ARIUS 88-Key Digital Piano

The Yamaha YDP-105 ARIUS combines the familiar form of a traditional upright piano with Yamaha digital piano technology, providing an expressive instrument for learning, practice and everyday playing at home.

Its 88-key Graded Hammer Standard keyboard, AWM Stereo Sampling, three-pedal configuration and Damper Resonance are designed to recreate important elements of an acoustic piano playing experience.

88-Key Graded Hammer Standard Keyboard

The YDP-105 features Yamaha’s GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) keyboard, which reproduces the graduated resistance of an acoustic piano keyboard.

The lower keys have a naturally heavier feel, becoming progressively lighter toward the upper register. This provides developing players with an authentic weighted keyboard response across all 88 keys.

Matte black keytops contribute to a comfortable and familiar playing surface.

AWM Stereo Sampling

Yamaha’s AWM Stereo Sampling technology provides detailed reproductions of acoustic instruments, including the sound of a Yamaha grand piano.

The YDP-105 is designed to deliver a balanced sound throughout the keyboard range, combining clear upper registers with powerful bass response.

Damper Resonance

Damper Resonance recreates the broad resonance produced by an acoustic piano when the damper pedal is depressed.

The technology reproduces the interaction and cumulative resonance of the instrument, adding depth and realism to sustained piano passages.

Half-Damper Pedal Control

The YDP-105 includes half-damper pedal functionality, providing greater expressive control than a basic on/off sustain pedal.

This recreates the variable damper response of a grand piano, allowing players to control sustain more precisely through pedal position.

10 Instrument Voices

The YDP-105 includes 10 built-in Voices, providing tonal options beyond its primary grand piano sound.

Available instrument types include electric piano, organ, vibraphone and strings, giving players additional sounds for practice and musical exploration.

10 Built-In Songs

A selection of 10 built-in classical songs provides additional material for listening, learning and practice.

These songs can also be used with compatible features in Yamaha’s Smart Pianist app.

Smart Pianist App Compatibility

The YDP-105 is compatible with Yamaha’s Smart Pianist app, providing an intuitive interface for controlling various instrument functions from a compatible smart device.

Smart Pianist can be used to select Voices, access scores for built-in songs, adjust piano tone and resonance through Piano Room, and access recording functionality.

A cable connection is required, and the appropriate cable for the connected smart device must be purchased separately.

Duo Mode for Lessons and Practice

The YDP-105 can divide its keyboard into two identical pitch ranges, allowing two people to play side-by-side in the same octave range.

This is particularly useful for lessons, demonstrations and practice sessions where a teacher and student want to play the same passages together.

Built-In Stereo Speaker System

The integrated sound system combines dual 6-watt amplifiers with two 12 cm speakers, providing stereo sound without requiring external amplification.

Volume Limiter

A built-in Volume Limiter allows the maximum output level to be restricted.

This provides greater control over listening levels when using either the built-in speakers or headphones.

Elegant ARIUS Cabinet Design

The ARIUS cabinet combines clean lines with subtle curves inspired by traditional grand piano design.

Its furniture-style construction allows the YDP-105 to integrate naturally into a home music room, living space or dedicated practice area.
